We are thrilled by the overwhelming response to our inaugural "Splash 'N Spike" Team-Building Exercise held at the Grace Bay Leisure Club in Turks & Caicos.
With eager anticipation and plans in motion, our team faced a disheartening setback when we discovered that our allocated budget could not be used to fly 300 employees out for an all-expenses-paid water polo tournament at a 7-star luxury resort.
Undeterred by this setback, our resourceful Water Polo Planning Committee immediately swung into action. Through careful negotiation and innovative thinking, the committee managed to leverage additional funding from our Training and Development Budget, generously expanding our resources to support the grand event.
However, there was one stipulation: the event was now required to contribute to the enhancement of employee performance and skills. With this in mind, the water polo tournament was successfully rebranded as a team-building exercise. And employees worldwide attended for a variety of morale-boosting spikes, employee-engaging drop shots, and frequent use of words such as "synergy," "collaboration," and "core competencies."
Thank you to all those involved in this remarkable and collaborative corporate endeavor. We look forward to seeing many familiar faces at the upcoming “Sip ‘N Sail” Windsurfing Workshop.
