After their lucky draw from the Vacation® Sunshine State Getaway Sweepstakes, Brennan, Janine, Bobby, Tim, Kenna, and Roberta were packed and ready for their complimentary, all expenses paid trip to Vero Beach. The six person crew of eager merrymakers had harkened their flight to Orlando International as the “Soaring Sextet Air Bus Party”.
However, these compatriots in leisure arrived at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport to find that their reserved First Class seats had been split between two separate aircraft due to unforeseen, weather-related diversions. Instead of a four hour joyous journey with all expenses paid In-Flight meals, the Orlando bound Minnesota cadre would have to settle for a monotonous, disjointed flight to their vacation destination.
Ever the optimists of the group, Brennan (left), Kenna, and Janine (right) decided that they wouldn’t let a booking error “put a damper on their leisure.” Making clever use of the All-Inclusive In-Flight Sickness Bags, the trio made sure that their coworkers would be a part of the “Soaring Sextet Air Bus Party” in spirit, even if they couldn’t be there in person.
Although Tim, Bobby, and Roberta wouldn’t depart from Minneapolis-St. Paul International for close to an hour after their previously booked flight, they would be the first to see their elegantly drawn doppelgangers living it up, when the Soaring Sextet reunited at the baggage claim of Orlando International.
We commend Brennan, Janine, and Kenna for their resilience and innovative thinking, turning an unexpected setback into an opportunity for some much-needed leisure-enhancement. Great work, you three!
