Once upon a time there was an Aunty that was often 'too busy' to just hang out. Don't get me wrong, this Aunty has always been super attentive, devoted and loving - but she constantly felt short of time and her mind was busy. Even when in others physical presence, her head was sometimes elsewhere. Primarily, in her world of 'work'. Or at times, on her phone.
With awareness and time to slow the pace, this Aunty is shifting. She's just becoming more and more connected with what's the most important things in her life. Becoming more aware of energy exchange, and where she wants to direct it. When you begin to practice self-preservation and self-fulfilment, you might disappoint some. But that's not about you. You can't do and be it all, but you can prioritise and honour yourself.
Today, sitting in gutters with 2 of her favourite minis was of the most important things to do. That and drinking coffee, swimming in the sea and in quiet, lush creeks. Jumping on trampolines, snuggling in our 'van bed', a family dinner and eating ice cream.
And they all lived happily ever after.
