I've been thinking about (and feeling into) the word 'success' of late, we even collectively reflected about this term at a women's circle recently. At a time where there is so much subliminal pressure to grow, to go harder, to hustle, to 'get' more and 'be more' I can't help but question whether this is only ego. And when we are more ego driven in our pursuits, there is no real happiness within. The real shit, the real happiness - not because your bank balance is bumpin, your companies getting large or your being recognised in coffee shops because your public profile / following is increasing... PS. There is nothing wrong with these achievements but I seek the real, deep contentment that comes regardless of the external highs and lows. That right there, personally, that's success. ➸ Success? Knowing what feels right for me. And acting on that, just being that. ➸ Success? Being kind and generous in each interaction. ➸ Success? To be courageous enough to get comfy in the uncertain. And enjoy it. ➸ Success? To tread lightly, consciously, intentionally. ➸ Success? Closing my eyes at night knowing that I loved as openly as I could and was AS present in each moment as possible. BEING, in life. Start the conversation with yourself... What's your definition? Do you feel 'successful'? { Image :: @mindstripped }
