I personally believe that you know when you've 'found' your Mala. It's like a sacred investment, a piece that you hold and wear close for many years.
You can wear it for meditation purposes, for your spiritual beliefs, for a specific intention or just because it (for whatever reason) makes you feel good. Your feelings don't require logic. Or maybe you are gifted one, the perfect one. Just as I was late last year.

A really cool friend, Frank from @malaspirit gifted me a carnelian / pearl Mala called 'Gypsy' and the more time I spend with it, the more connected I feel. I wear it specifically when I aim to connect with myself. When I attempting to 'get creative'. When I'm seeking an 'essence', that is unexplainable with words.
