Reflecting quietly on a year that has passed, simply, with an offering of thank you. Deeply, humbly - just for being here and sharing this life experience with us. Rather than sharing huge and 'exciting' proclamations or expectations on what's to come, we choose to rather get present and embrace a moment of gratitude for the simple things, the balance in life.
Today with our family, we celebrated the life of a mighty kiwi man called Mr George Wallace McGregor (Wally) and the 91 full years he spent in a physical form. Our grandfather.
Our grandfather possessed an admirable ability to not attach emotionally to external situations. Yah - a skill we too aim to embody. He rarely judged or expected. Influential qualities that we will admire for our lifetimes and with each year that ticks over to the next.
We salute you grandad and all of you out there. May we all celebrate our moments. And live to make them count.
