"This is what rituals are for. We do spiritual ceremonies as human beings in order to create a safe resting place for our most complicated feelings of joy or trauma, so that we don't have to haul those feelings around with us forever, weighing us down. We all need such places of ritual safekeeping. And I do believe that if your culture or tradition doesn't have the specific ritual you are craving, then you are absolutely permitted to make up a ceremony of your own devising, fixing your own broken-down emotional systems with all the do-it-yourself resourcefulness of a generous plumber/poet" ~ Elizabeth Gilbert.
When was the last time you layed in a candlelit art studio, huddled under shared blankets as the chilly night air seeps in through the open rafters? Soft Savasana music plays, you receive the gift of time - to lay there and do absolutely nothing except for appreciate everything. At first you might feel silly and then your body relaxes and you're reminded of just how JOYFUL and needed it really is.
Appreciation for the openness shared with 20 x women last night at the Violet Gray Intention Circle. For their creativity, for their vulnerability, laughter and the curiosity that brought each of them into a nourishing, unknown and new space. For embracing one another with the type of kindness and compassion that can only come from women. And for being brave enough to show up just AS YOU ARE.
We are so grateful to co-create with you ?
