STRANDHILL BATH HOUSE
At the beginning of the 20th century there were an estimated 300 seaweed bath houses in Ireland. The last of the original Strandhill bath houses seen here was destroyed by Hurricane Debbie in 1961. It was originally right on the seafront. It was reopened years later in 1996 as our sister company the beautiful traditional bathing house @voyaseaweedbaths who still pump fresh seawater in from the Atlantic for their unique bathing experiences.
