As we peer into the vibrant blue below, we see where these continental plates are gradually pulling apart, while melted glacial water fills the gap. This time next year the rock we're standing on will have moved approximately another 2 cm away from its neighboring continent, widening the fissure even farther and providing a great example of the dynamic nature of our earth.
