One effect we love to use in our films is motion blur! We do this with the free software GoPro Studio, which has an excellent built in blurring feature. This works best when you have your camera mounted onto something visible in the frame, like in this case on the bow sprit of a catamaran blasting across the Salish Sea! By having something in the frame that doesn't move with respect to the camera combined with a blurred background that is moving creates a fun time warped feeling!
