Every week we ask you to help us #spreadthelust (STL) and get more people stoked about having a Waterlust state of mind. This week's contest is focused on the theme "floating"
Archimedes principle describes the physics of buoyancy by defining the force exerted on a submerged object in a fluid. When you go swimming, this upward force causes you to feel lighter than they do on land, and is equal to the weight of water you displace. If your weight, the force caused by the gravitational pull of Earth, is greater than the buoyant force you create, you will sink! On the other hand, if the buoyancy force exceeds your weight, you'll bob on the surface like a cork. This week we want you to submit photos of floating things and people!
This week's winner gets tons of positive karma along with having their work showcased on our social media outlets. All entries must be submitted between now and Monday, December 15, at 12pm EST. They must contain the hashtags #STLfloating and #Waterlust to be eligible. Official rules are published at www.waterlust.org
