Every week we ask you to help us #spreadthelust (STL) and get more people stoked about having a Waterlust state of mind. This week's contest is focused on the theme "sail." The concept of sailing, as in the propulsion of a vehicle and the control of it’s movement using a sail, has been around for a very long time. The earliest representation of a ship under sail appears on a painted disk found in Kuwait that dates back to between 5000 and 5500 BC. As the centuries passed by, sail-powered ships were developed for fishing, trade, exploration, and military use. Now, with the advent of engines on boats, sailing has become more of an activity that people do for fun, lot’s and lot’s of fun!
This week, we want to see your photos of sailboats, sailing, sails, etc. You get the idea!
This week's winner gets tons of positive karma along with having their work showcased on our social media outlets. All entries must be submitted between now and Monday, May 12th, at 12pm EST. They must contain the hashtags #STLsail and #Waterlust to be eligible. Official rules are published at www.waterlust.org
