Hannah and John Michael had to cancel their original wedding day in Ohio—they made the call in late May. They’ve been dating since high school, and waiting another year to get married wasn’t going to be an option. When they called me, their entire family had pulled together to make their wedding day still happen, this time in a beautiful field underneath Mt. Shavano. With one month to put a new wedding together, these two graciously, patiently, and cheerfully took on all the obstacles that came. We even re-worked their timeline two days before due to their wedding being on the summer solstice! (More daylight to work with!)

On their wedding day, everyone was so peaceful. This has been my absolute favorite thing about these intimate weddings—no time restrictions at venues, or crowds to move along, meaning that the couple gets to absorb the day at their own pace.

On top of everything, this family welcomed me so kindly into their party, and their love for each other moved me deeply. Mr. & Mrs. Hershberger—you two are the real deal 🤗
