Due to circumstances beyond their control, Lauren and Austin had to make a change of plans from the big wedding they had planned this August to the sweet elopement pictured here. Judging from the beautiful photos and video by leahkennedyphoto & clairetomphotos above, I can tell that the day couldn’t have been any more perfect. Surrounded by the most loving, supportive, kind family and their closest friends they were finally able to do what their hearts have wanted for some time now. 💫

Honestly, I am an emotional wreck. Their story will always have a piece of my heart and I knew this was a caption I couldn’t write while running between appointments and juggling my 2nd coffee of the day. (Many apologies for the countless typos in previous posts. 😱 ) I’m trying to put into words how thankful I am to have played the tiniest of roles in this remarkable love story. Some say what we do is materialistic, superficial, and silly. “It’s just a dress”. You’re right, it is just a dress but it’s a dress that can represent so many different things for so many people. It can represent a new chapter in a life that was once riddled with abuse, it can represent finally feeling safe, it can represent family for someone who’s never had one, it can represent the culmination of hard work (be it career or otherwise) that now let’s someone feel secure/excited enough to make a commitment like this in their personal relationship, it can represent the beating of illness, it can represent the bravery one achieved by allowing themselves to love, it can represent so much. We cry a lot at LPB, well I do at least, and this is why. Thank you Lauren for being you, for being strong, for being beautiful, and for all the love you exude out into this world. We would be a much better place if more Lauren’s lived among us. .
