This weekend these two celebrated:
15 years of friendship.
12 years of dating.
21 months of being engaged.
1 pandemic-postponed-wedding.
When COVID forced them to cancel their big May wedding, Trav + Amanda had to rethink what the day would look like entirely. In the end it was held a whole season later than planned, on a sizzlingly hot day, safely outdoors at the groom’s parent’s home once the bride’s family could travel in from the east coast. Guests brought their own blankets and chairs to watch them make their vows from a distance and it created major music festival vibes which fit these music lovers perfectly. The day included lots of happy tears, individually packaged slices of pie (raspberry and lemon, of course), songs performed by the couple and a dress Stevie Nicks would approve of. After so much uncertainty, it was intimate, original and completely right.
When I left for the night they were playing guitar and singing together in the moonlight. I have no doubt that 15 years from now on a hot summer night you’ll find them doing exactly the same thing.
Congrats guys! 🥂
