Getting ready is one of my favorite parts of the day to document! There is so much excitement in these little nervous times with your girls. Make sure to allow enough time for a few of these gorgeous moments to be captured in your timeline (I’ll help you with that!) 🙋🏼♀️

Your venue might not have the cutest getting ready room… and sometimes their bridal suite might not have any natural light and recessed lighting (yuck)… 🙅🏼♀️but a little bit of trust goes a LONG way! Being a major light nerd, I will find the best light and keep you there to make sure all of these moments are perfectly captured.💫

This room was where the kids were sleeping. It was covered in cribs and toys in an old cabin with some dated furniture that for sure needed a facelift - not the brides aesthetic. But I reminded myself that she chose this venue for the surrounding trees and mountain feels, and the sun was just barely peeking through this door.

wesfilms and I popped off the screens to the doors, moved some furniture, and voila! 🙏🏻🙏🏻A stunning frame for naturally beautiful moments to unfold. I always joke that 90% of our job is moving furniture. Maybe someday they will hire photographers to decorate hotel rooms 🤷🏼♀️

It’s ok if your girls (or guys) aren’t fully ready to help you get ready!
They can wrap up getting dressed while we photograph your bridal portraits or your first look. There will be plenty of photos of them all dolled up during the rest of the day.
Plus, you picked the cute jammies and robes for a reason, right? 🥰

Make sure to tell your hair and makeup team who is helping you get dressed so they can be done first (after you, of course!) 🥰
