Today marks the first day of the 13th #witchery #whiteshirtcampaign featuring ocrf ambassador celestebarber!
I’m not in the lab today - I am taking this photo (thanks mum!) from my family home in Gippsland, as I’m here to take mum to her second breast cancer surgery (she’s probably going into surgery right now). Although any cancer diagnosis is upsetting, we all feel extremely lucky and thankful that mum went in for her routine mammogram and they detected the cancer early, meaning it’s extremely easy to treat.
Ovarian cancer is different - there is no routine screening tool and no early detection test, meaning that it is often diagnosed at the late stage when treatment is more difficult and the risk of the disease coming back is high.
So today I’m wearing my beautiful white shirt designed by toni_maticevski in collaboration with witcheryfashion - 100% of the gross proceeds go to the ocrf to raise essential funds for ovarian cancer research.
