Missing Japan? gardensbythebay brought in a piece of #japan with peach and cherry blossom trees to celebrate Hanami ~ spring. There’s also this interesting installation called Torii gate which is a traditional Japanese gate, usually located at the entrance of Shinto shrines. It marks the transition from the profane to the sacred, though it is also sometimes simply used to denote a place that has deep religious meaning. It signals entrance into a hallowed space, and it is customary to bow one’s head before passing beneath it. Swipe to see the reality of the crowd in #gardensbythebay. I visited this place last weekend during the start of the March school holidays, but this week should be much better with lesser people. If you are wondering how to do get a clear shot in this photo? That’s because a kind soul started a queue system so that all of us can have a few moments free of people to get a good shot. If not, usually we will wait for a minute of clearance and I will run into the frame for the shot, and then request the people around to spare me a minute. (Gotta be thick skin) I usually only need 1 minute to capture my photo, so most people are happy to wait for me to finish the capture.
