Budget backyard transformation for Yardzen staffer @kendrapoppy! Swipe to see the before!
Kendra broke up the monotony of her hitherto red backyard, while sticking to a budget of $5,000, by making some strategic decisions. By removing two of the large pavers and replacing them with gravel (California Gold), she created distinct spaces for dining and entertaining in the tiny yard. She painted the existing concrete (@benjaminmoore floor & patio) and removed that rotting wood between them, replacing them with gravel. She also added fruitless olive trees (@frantznursery) along the back fence, which will quickly grow to add beauty and privacy (without the mess!). When it comes to furniture, @neighboroutdoor chairs and sofa add the perfect touch of California cool, white the jute rug helps define the space, and the modern farmhouse table creates ample room for outdoor entertaining. #myyardzen
