Coined by the woman who perfected the style, @joannagaines, moditerranean yards feature clean lines, neutral colors, and cool-toned plants, like olive trees, rosemary, and agave (a Mediterranean plant!). The modernness of Moditerranean strips down a more traditional Mediterranean look and feel to its most simple and beautiful elements. We love using greige hardscaping in Moditerranean yards—pea gravel, cement, and bluestone—and styling the space with a mix of old and new decor in woods, stone (like this incredible fireplace!) and metals.
