Yardzen began here in 2017 after the Tubbs Fire destroyed the Calistoga neighborhood of founders Adam and Allison Messner. Miraculously, the blaze spared the Messner’s historic farmhouse, but it devastated the surrounding property. Determined to return home with their young kids, Allison and Adam set out to restore the landscape.
The Messners hired a designer to create a plan to bring the the yard back to life—without stepping foot on the property. That’s when they realized that there is a better way to landscape—all online.
