Yardzen Before & After
For this Bay Area backyard, the homeowners knew what they wanted: a functional, low-maintenance yard with space to grow vegetables, relax, entertain.
So, our design and build teams set to work transforming this awkwardly sloped backyard. Terracing at the back of the yard, which adds planter boxes and seating to the once-unused space, creates a flat plane for adding furniture and styling. The in-ground lights are a game-changer, creating a space that this family loves to use from day to night. Lastly, the mix of pea gravel, pavers, and composite wood decking creates a space that is effortless to maintain.
