Emily, founder of Yougi here. Happy New Year, we made it! The last year has been tough for everyone but I’m excited to enter a new year full of possibilities.
This picture reminds me of where the idea for Yougi was hatched.
I started out as a home accessories and beauty buying manager for UK retailers. 🤓 After traveling the world developing products, I quickly became disillusioned by all the synthetic ingredients, lack of care, and waste used in the Industry.
Burnt out, I did a four week Yoga training in Goa and formed the idea for Yougi.
Before Yougi, I kept finding myself settling for candles that were made out of synthetic fragrance, paraffin, and were too expensive to light every day.
Having a moderately healthy obsession with candles. I spent a year testing hundreds of essential oil, mixing waxes, experimenting with wicks to create the kind of candles I'd been searching for.
We are VERY proud to say the products are cruelty-free, vegan, ethically sourced, sustainable, and 100% natural. I say 'we' as we now have a small team in Islington, London. ❤️
Yougi brings soothing natural fragrance and ritual to your home. 💆🏽We aim to transform mood through scent and mindfulness.
The support you have shown for your products and workshops has been overwhelming at times. We love the community we are building; full of encouraging, kind and conscious people.
