I talk a whole lot about body acceptance on social media but something i still don’t accept about myself are my legs — ever since i can remember, i’ve had big legs. jeans have always been a major no-no, as have short dresses, skirts and up until the ripe old age of 22, i refused to wear anything without a pair of tights. Now, this dress here is probably the shortest i’ve worn without any tights and honestly, it was on my mind for the entire day. Did i look cute? Heck yeah i did!!! But in the back of my mind, i was panicking. I thought everyone was staring at my legs, I believed everyone was laughing, judging me, making fun of me. And in reality they definitely weren’t. But i’ve been taught to be ashamed of any part of me that isn’t stick thin. Arms, legs, stomach, chest - whatever. So my point is that I don’t think body acceptance is an end goal. I’ll always have parts of me that i’m not happy with and days where i don’t want to be seen because our bodies aren’t stagnant, they’re ever-changing and so are our emotions. I don’t like my legs. But that doesn’t mean I have to hide them away. They deserve sunlight and warm breezes just as much as a smaller person’s legs. End of rant, love ya xo AD / PR products gifted by yoursclothing #fatandproud #psblogger #styleandcurvemag #psbloggers #psmodel #confidenceiskey #plusmodelmag #fatfriday #plusmodelmagazine #plussized #plussizebeauty #plussizewoman #fatandfabulous #plussizewomen #fatandsassy #plussizemodels #curvystyle #plussizevixens #plusisequal #goldenconfidence #boldncurvy #skorchmagazine #theresnowrongwaytobeawoman #psootd #honoryourcurves #fullfigured #fullfiguredfashion #fullfiguredmodel #alternativecurves #fullfiguredmodels
