While conducting a mission in the jungles of Laos in 1968, a SOG team came across a baby Tiger laying next to his dead mother who was killed after stepping on a land mine.
One of the men wrapped him in a towel and brought him back to base, and thus Bubba the SF Tiger came to be. The team raised him, fed him and slept along side his new family. Beer was his favorite meal, usually drinking 2 cans a day.
They grew really fond of him and when their tour was at its end, they wondered what would happen to him.
So, they called a research zoo in Australia, asking if they wanted a Tiger. Not believing the story in its entierity, the men smuggled him out of the country via Air America and brought Bubba to Sydney. When they landed, they got off the plane with Bubba on a leash walking besides them like a fucking rockstar.
Bubba lived a very good life, fathered a bunch of baby tigers until his death in 1985.
An interesting side note is that the CIA always wondered on how they would often receive precise Intel from the SOG team.
What they didnt know is that Bubba would often be brought in to scare the living shit out of the captured NVA during the interrogation..and it worked. #tigers #zerofoxtrot #stayzero
