Tom Spry and Jerry Hanson. Both joined the Marines at age of 16. Both stormed the beaches of Guam in 1944. And both got wounded.
Both fought in Chosin during the Korean War, both volunteered for Vietnam. Jerry was shot by a sniper in Guam, wounded by a grenade in Korea, and wounded by a mortar in Vietnam. Both survived 7 Banzai attacks on the night of July 25th 1944 on Fonte Hill, Guam. Both called each other everyday to say hi for over 50 years.
"If anybody ever says they weren't scared," Tom says, "I'll show you a complete idiot."
"Or someone who wasn't there," adds Jerry.
