Major George Preddy Jr, a legend of WW2 who became the highest P51 ace with 27 confirmed kills and the 8th American top ace of all time.
After slaying Jap pilots in the Pacific and surviving a mid air collision, his balls were tasked with taking on the Luftwaffe in Europe.
He quickly gained notoriety as a gambler, drinker and for shooting down anything that came across his sights.
In one mission, he led his squadron while completely shit faced. During the briefing, he passed out drunk and had his buddies carry him into the cockpit where he subsequently shot down 5 aircrafts.
He extended his tour of duty 3 times because going home would have been boring. He never wrote after action reports, instead he would just drop off his gun camera footage let it do the talking for him.
He received several awards for valor to include the DSC, 2 Silver Stars and 7 DFC.
