"The first wave came in with tanks, but all the armor sank in the water. The casualties were so high that by the time we landed, we were considered the 1st wave instead of the second. The ocean water was nothing but blood...I still think about it often. Only 25 out my entire group were alive by the end of the day. When I watched Saving Private Ryan, the only difference was the beach not being wide enough." Let it all sink in.
