Francis Pegahmagabow is an Ojibwa warrior of the Caribou Clan who volunteered to fight as a scout and a sniper in the Canadian Army during WW1. Seeing action in Ypres, Somme, Scarpe and Passchendaele, he earned several medals, to include the military medal 3 times for bravery and was also wounded twice. In span of a year, he is credited with 378 German kills using his Ross rifle and capturing 300+ more. In less than 5 years, he rose from the rank of private to Seargent Major. Despite the fact that some his original proposed awards where downgraded, Pegahmagabow is recognized as one of the most effective snipers of WW1 and the most decorated indigenous soldier in the Canadian Army. #stayzero #zerofoxtrot #ww1 #badass #sniper
