For those that have been following ZF for a while, know that I collect all kinds of war memorabilia. I get asked often on what draws me to it and why...the explanation is simple: motivation. There is something about holding a piece of history, especially from events that occurred during times of conflict, that make you man the fuck up on the daily. This silk map belonged to an Airborne officer who jumped into Sicily with it during the invasion. He survived the jump and the war, and the map still in tact after 74 years. The true value is not measured monetarily, but measured on how much we are willing to learn, appreciate and respect those who came before us.
