Okay, here are some quick facts about the Vietnam war with the hopes that it could educate some of the fuckbags who have been thinking otherwise from the last post. Did we lose the Vietnam War? In short, NO. The whole point of Americans being involved in Vietnam was to stop the spread of Communism and that's exactly what happened. Even though 10 years later, S. Vietnam became communist, including Laos and Cambodia, the influence of communism stopped there and was quickly diminished. The United States spent 10 plus years and lost roughly 60,000 soldiers just to slow down the communist aggressors. Had not that happened, communism would have spread much quicker at the height of the cold war and would have spread all over Asia. Just like it happened post ww2 with Russia and the satellites states. Anybody who lives in Southeast Asia is thankful and grateful of the sacrifices of our American soldiers (we did the same in Korea. Hence the difference in economics and lifestyle. If it wasn't for us, S. Korea would be speaking communism) We also never lost a single battle or engagement against the NVA..ever! The majority of the military who fought in Vietnam were not all drafted, in fact, the majority did volunteer. Politics lost the battle on the tables and therefore affecting the military on the ground, leading us to pulling out. The worst part of it all, to the American soldiers who did survive, the American public was considered more of an enemy than the NVA because of the treatment they received upon returning home. So, before bashing the war, the veterans of it and what not, pick up a book and learn some shit before spewing ignorance on the net. #stayzero #zerofoxtrot #gonnalearn2day
