This Marine spent 21 years serving our Nation, fought in Vietnam both as enlisted infantry and officer. He and his men of A company 1st BN, 1st Marines survived a massive NVA assault near Da Nang in 1965, earning him a Bronze Star with V and Purple Heart. He recalled: "They came right through us! When I ran out of my 45 ammo, we just grabbed their weapons and began using those. We didn't have fully automatic rifles of our own, all of those where back in the rear. By the end of the day, we killed over 250 of them with us only losing 14. My Marines did magnificent." Never miss a chance to thank a vet, you'd be surprised the lessons we can learn from a breed of men who didn't take shit. #stayzero #zerofoxtrot #veteran #vietnamwar #usmc
