What you see pictured are a series of photographs capturing a reunion between Joshua Kaufman, a holocaust survivor, and Daniel Gillespie, an American soldier from WW2.
Gillespie is one of the soldiers who freed Kaufman and the rest of survivors from the Dachau concentration camp, Germany in the closing days of the war.
Nearly 70 years later, both men finally reunited and this series captures the depth of Kaufman's gratitude. They also lived an hour from each other and never even knew it. #greatestgeneration #war #neverforget #military #ww2
