This is Havildar Lachhiman Gurung, born in Nepal on December 30, 1917, served as a rifleman in the 8th Gurkha Rifles as part of the British Indian Army during World War II. At the age of 27, and standing only 4’11’’, Gurung found himself fighting the Japanese in the jungles of Burma. On May 12, 1945, the Japanese attacked his position with at least 200 soldiers. During the fight, Gurung hurdled back two enemy grenades that landed near him. He attempted to throw back a third, but it detonated and blew off his right hand, most his arm, an eye and suffered massive wounds to his face, body and right leg. For the next four hours, Gurung repeatedly reloaded his rifle with one arm, fighting off the enemy until reinforcements arrived. At the end, 31 dead Japanese soldiers were found around his position. He had killed every one of them, with one arm. Gurung was awarded the Victoria Cross and lived to be 92 years old. I'm assuming he never had to buy beer or pussy ever again. #stayzero #zerofoxtrot #nofucks #awesome #badass #military #aintgottime2die #ww2
