Dan Bullock enlisted in the Marines in 1968 at the age of 14, he altered his birth certificate to serve his country. He was a rifleman in 2nd squad, 2nd platoon, Fox Co, 2/5 and was killed in action by small arms fire on June 7, 1969 at the age of 15 during a night attack by the NVA.
