On July 11, 1967, the men of Charlie Co., 4th BN, 9th ID were on a search and destroy mission near the Me Kong Delta. During the battle, a squad was cut off and the rest of the platoon were forced to leave them due to the high casualties they sustained and intense enemy fire. The morning after, they reached the squad's location, only to discover that they were all dead and all their belongings stripped by the enemy. After loading the dead on helos, a prisoner was brought and Terry McBride was ordered to load him up as well; on the same helo his dead best friend was in..and he explains what happened next.
