It's one of those nights where you wake up in the middle of it, and do a lot of soul searching and reflection. It's when everything seems like a void that you feel the weakest, the loneliest but somehow, you find a reason to move forward. When I read this quote, it reminded me that the battlefield that is within ourselves is real, but winnable. This is not some depressive soap box, on the contrary, it's a testament on why you should never quit. The worse part of being a combat veteran in the normal world is the fact that quitting, at times, can feel like an option, but you always have to remind yourself that the experiences and drawbacks made you who you are. After doing multiple combat tours before I was even 21, I never had imagined that I would be where I am today, and the biggest hurdle of it all was to admit to myself that you have to let good people in your life and let them give you a hand when you need it, nothing to be ashamed about. I've been lucky enough to have those people (you know who you are) including a woman who stuck by my side through the worse. It's when I hit those deep voids that I realize that I need to be stronger and better than before. I'm only writing this to give an insight and because someone right now, at this very moment, could be in that void. With that said, never give up on yourself and the people that are around you. Stay strong and stay zero. #truth #motivation #stayzero
