Alright Gents, the man you're looking at is Sgt. Robert L. Hale. His grandson reached out to us and asked us to get this out to all of you.
Sgt. Hale served in WW2 as paratrooper with the C. Co., 502nd PIR, 101st, jumping on D-Day and Market Garden, earning several awards to include 2 Purple Hearts. He was selected for an Honor Flight to D.C. and upon return, there will be a mail call. We ask to take a few minutes of your time and send him a quick thank you note. Like most vets, he doesn't talk about his experiences nor has ever asked for anything in return; a true humble warrior.
For the folks who have been following us for a while, you know we strive to shed light on the past generation warrior. This is your chance to express your gratitude. The number of WW2 Veterans are dwindling and the result of their sacrifice is clearly present to this day.
The mailing address is as follows:
Sgt. Robert L. Hale c/o Pam Keys
C.Co. 502nd PIR, 101st Airborne
51 Meadow Run Ct.
St. Charles, MO 63303
You can also send emails at keysjames2@gmail.com with subject line "Sgt. Robert Hale"
All correspondence needs to be there by the 25th of July. Flight comes back Aug.4th
If you live in or around the area, take sometime to go shake this man's hand.
With that said, we ask to please share this and take a minute off your day to make this happen. #ww2
