During the Battle of the Bulge, Staff Sgt. Paul L. Bolden, from Alabama, alongside Tech Sgt. Russell N. Snoad, were attached to I Co. 120th Infantry and were moving through Petit Coo, Belgium, on December 23, 1944. All of the sudden, the unit became pinned down by heavy automatic fire from a house; along with accurate mortar and tank fire as well. With obvious lack of fucks, the two men went on a solo mission and began crawling the length of two football fields through a hell storm of enemy fire in order to reach the barricaded enemy. When they reached the house, which had about 35 Germans in it, both men took positions to prepare for their assault. Bolden threw a frag grenade through the window, followed by a white phosphorus grenade. Bolden then kicked the door in, and opened fire with his Tommy gun while Snoad covered him. The duo was able to take out 20 Nazis before the enemy was able to return a burst of fire, killing Snoad and severely wounding Bolden in the shoulder, chest, and stomach. All alone, wounded and even more pissed off, Bolden withdrew outside of the house, took cover and waited for the 15 surviving Nazi soldiers to come out and surrender. Yes, you read the last sentence right. With no answer, Bolden crawled back into the house and killed the remaining 15 until his ammo ran out, therefore paving the way for the rest of his unit to move through. For his actions, Staff Sgt. Bolden was awarded the Medal of Honor. #zerofucks #nofucks #stayzero #military #awesome #bamf #legit #ww2 #greatestgeneration #honor #usa #hardcore #hardfuck #hero #army #badass #guns #ammo #boss #instalike #instagood #dailyig #photooftheday
